No Hans. Gotta have specific NZ map - which currently cant get for universal use. Only things like Navmans and the like, and cars with factory satnav (eg - Lexus LS430 & 460)

Depending on what was the last disc used in it to update it ,will depend on what disc you will require (they are not backwards compatible ).These units came out with "Type 2 ,Volume 2 " as standard ,you will find most will require Type 3 volume 2 or 3 to work as most of them have been updated back in Japan. With out the bootup discs they are useless.Once running , Japanese text ,NTSC TV tuner ,Japanese GPS ,NTSC Video input will then work. There is no mod or mysterious Japanese to English disc around to change these units to works here, change the language set the clock etc...
You will find more and more units like these ,and factory units (such as Honda ,mitsi) will require "Bootup" discs to operate ,once the unit has been re powered .Factory units like Honda,Subaru and Mitsi will stop the aircon /Heater from running aswell.
If you are up Hamilton way ,you are more than welcome to use my ones ,I have most of them ,so we should be able to get it going for ya.
