It has holes on the side into which extra terminals can be screwed in.

yes i know the optima side terminals. Are your ones empty and don't have the covers or something? being more decriptive would help us help you.

assuming he wants more terminals to screw in, so he can run other stuff for no reason

Which is why if you use lugs with 10mm holes, you can just screw the lugs down with a bolt of the right thread.

Looks like the best idea is to head to a wholesaler and have a look. I want to use the side terminals as clearance is very minimal around the top of my battery.

Yep I hear that... I had that issue with my Orbital. It was just easier using those terminals rather than have to fk around with battery terminals.

The top has posts, not threads.

I initially used bolts then i made some up on a lathe. If you dont have access to a lathe then it is probably easier to get some off ebay from the USA as i could not find any locally.

grandell wrote: do the top posts unscrew? no. Only the side post mounts are able to take a bolt to secure lugs onto it. Its just a matter of going down to a fasteners company and finiding the right thread pitch and depth to secure stuff to it. Done the same thing with orbitals and the kinetiks. Find right thread pitch, find right length of bolt and attach down easy peasy.
